The objective of our Black Jack Track Attack program is for participants to become technically competent cross country skiers and to utilize their skills to explore a wide range of cross-country ski activities, from back country excursions to ski tournaments. In addition, it is designed to: Develop fitness through active play, games and other activities; be fun; provide children an opportunity to be part of a sport “team”; develop competence in cross country ski skills; expose children to a variety of “adventure-based” cross country ski activities.

The program is offered year-round as well as seasonally and is offered after Jackrabbit 4 level has been achieved with many more training opportunities per month.

This program meets a few times per week in the summer and fall, and approximately 4 times per week in the winter. As well, there are some training camp opportunities included at this level. The Track Attack (Learn to Train) program is designed to follow after the Jackrabbits program. It can serve as a stepping stone to the more advanced racing programs, or as simply a means to enjoy the sport of cross country skiing. Our aim is to have fun while developing fitness, good training habits and technical skiing skills. Sessions are both general and ski specific.
