With the rest of Team Blackjack competing at the BC Cup in Vernon, Julien flew out east to race at the US National Championships. With fast skis from Rocky Mountain Racers, and fun times fun times staying with Club SkiNouk, the week in Houghton, MI was excellent preparation for the upcoming U23 Trials in Thunder Bay. Against tough fields (over 180 starters in the senior men’s race alone) and tight racing, the highlight of the week was a 3rd place podium finish in the Senior Men’s skate sprint.
