Good Luck Peter

The training season of 2013 marks the first year in a long while that Team Black Jack hasn’t had Peter training with us. A member for 5 years, Peter was a big part of our team at Black Jack and we all shared many fun times together at training camps, races and team practices. Known for relentlessly pushing the pace from the get-go in intensity sessions, riding his bikes ridiculously fast up and down the trails in the summer, and for adding an element of enjoyment to every workout (who knew that hitting the powder in Barry’s Field is way more fun than taking the trail?), Peter’s presence on the team has been greatly missed this year.

After combining college and skiing for his last year of full time racing, Peter made the decision last spring to go to school full time at Quest University. We’re not sure if Peter chose Quest more for the studying or for the mountain biking in Squamish, but we can certainly bet that he’ll be out on his bike as much as he can whenever he’s not studying. Although he doesn’t plan to race on skis much anymore, Peter and his friends at Quest have started up a small – only for fun – University team and will head to to Callaghan Valley for training and the occasional race.

Best of luck to Peter with his studying and fun times at Quest!
